What is the best way to instill a legacy of learning and leadership into the children and teens of the Brydges Centre? WALK THE TALK!
Rosemary Wafula, the Founder and Executive Director of the Brydges Centre in Kenya is a lifelong learner who believes that quality education and training are the keys to realizing one’s potential. Every single day the children of the Centre are encouraged by the staff and teachers to dream, to focus on their studies, and to set their sights on attending the university or enrolling in the Brydges Centre Career Skills Institute to be all they can be.
We recently shared that Rosemary had personally completed another degree in Counseling Psychology in the midst of her many duties (read here). We are now excited to share that Rosemary is one of three women from all of Africa to have been chosen to participate in a two-year leadership development program through an African-led nonprofit called Life in Abundance.
Rosemary will be in a learning cohort focused on organizational and management effectiveness, community development, and faith-based leadership practices that can be applied to her work and to the world around her.
We are SO proud of her being chosen to receive this rare opportunity!
Now, imagine being a little girl at the Centre and seeing your very own “Mama Rosemary”…
- attending an intensive training and development program in order to invest even more into your life and the lives of all your “brothers and sisters” at the Centre…
- modeling the empowerment of women in Kenya as community leaders and nation-changers, no matter their season of life…
- showing YOU what is possible for YOUR life when you dream and seize opportunities that come your way!
We are deeply thankful to the leadership of Life In Abundance for investing in Rosemary and all the children that call the Centre home.
Your Legacy of Learning and Leadership
Your generosity enables this legacy of learning and leadership to be possible. Because of you, the children of the Brydges Centre are being given all they need for a new legacy that can impact their future families and children for generations.
